May 25th, 2014 - Jack Sullivan Competes in Lucas Oil Show Me 100
1Jack entered the opening round of the 22nd Annual Lucas Oil Show Me 100 on Thursday night at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Missouri). The $5,000-to-win Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) program saw a talented field of sixty-three competitors register for action, and via his qualifying efforts Jack earned the third starting spot for the fifth heat race. He went on to finish second earning a spot in the redraw for the finale, where he drew the tenth starting position on the grid. During the course of the 45 lap feature Sullivan battled the handle on his #18 Triple A Diesel Service/Merrill Bonding Co. Super Late Model, ultimately settling to an eighteenth place finish in the final rundown.

Raymond Merrill also piloted a team car but heat race and b-main action found Merrill also battling the handle on his entry, and would ultimately fail to qualify for the finale.

1On Friday evening preliminary action for the 22nd Annual Lucas Oil Show Me 100 was held at Lucas Oil Speedway, and with sixty-five entries filling the pit area Jack struggled in qualifications, which left him starting eighth on the grid for his heat race. He would only advance to an eighth place finish, leaving him short of locking into the feature. As a results he started tenth in a b-main on Saturday. He advanced to a fifth place finish, but only the top two finishers moved on to the main event as he failed to make the cut for the $30,000-to-win finale. He would earn a spot in the Midwest Sheet Metal Non-Qualifier's Race, and went on to finish second after leading early.

Raymond Merrill battled the handle on his #12m entry, and failed to reach a transfer spot in heat race or b-main action.

1The weekend concluded on Sunday evening at Monett Speedway (Monett, Missouri) with the annual Tony Roper Memorial, which was sanctioned by the Mid America Racing Series (MARS) Super Late Model tour. Twenty-three entries entered the $3,000-to-win program, and Jack started his night by finishing third in his heat race to lock into the finale. In the main event he race his way forward to a third place finish behind race winner, Terry Phillips, and Tony Jackson Jr. Full results from the program are available at www.MARSRacingSeries.com.


May 10th, 2014 - Terminal Issues Sideline Sullivan at Ark-La-Tex
1After seeing Friday night's COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) program at Timberline Speedway (Corley, Texas) nixed by rain, Jack and the team traveled to Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, Louisiana).

A $2,000 top prize was posted for CCSDS competitors as a field of twenty-four entries converged on the oval. Sullivan race to a second place finish in his heat race to earn the fourths starting spot for the 40 lap finale. Unfortunately engine woes discovered after heat race action would force him to scratch from his second row starting position, bringing his night to an early end.

May 3rd, 2014 - Sullivan Finishes Second at Monett; Top Ten in CCSDS at I-30
1Friday evening found Sullivan racing at Monett Speedway (Monett, Missouri) in $3,000-to-win program with the Mid America Racing Series (MARS) Super Late Models. Thirty-one competitors looked to take a shot at scoring the win, and a second place finish in his heat race moved Sullivan to the main event. In the feature Jack would battle with the leaders throughout the event before settling in second behind race winner, Will Vaught. Justin Asplin, Terry Phillips, and Jeremy Payne rounded out the top five finishers. Complete results from the event are available at www.MARSRacingSeries.com

1Sullivan returned to action on Saturday night in a COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model event at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas). Twenty-nine competitors converged on the 1/4 mile oval for the $2,000-to-win race, and Jack began his outing with a seventh to fourth run in his heat race to lock into the eleventh starting spot for the feature. In the main event Sullivan advanced to a seventh place finish at the checkered flag behind race winner, Ronny Adams, Clay Fisher, Robert Baker, Ray Moore, Wendell Wallace, and Brandon Smith.
