July 17th, 2013 - Jack Sullivan Competes with LOLMDS
1Jack Sullivan was back in action with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Tuesday night as he entered a program at Lakeside Speedway (Kansas City, Kansas) for the first time in a few years. Thirty-two Super Late Models were on hand for the event, and a 3rd place finish in his heat race locked him into the 10th starting spot for the 50 lap, $10,000-to-win finale. He raced in the top ten early in the event before retiring with handling issues to a 21st place finish.

Wednesday night took Jack to Hamilton County Speedway (Webster City, Iowa) for the first time-ever as another $10,000-to-win, LOLMDS program was contested. Twenty-nine Super Late Models entered the event, and a 4th place finish in his heat race resulted in him starting 14th on the grid for the finale. Jack raced around mid-pack for much of the event before mechanical issues resulted in his night coming to an end in the 18th position.

Friday and Saturday found the team pitted at I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska) for the 3rd Annual Silver Dollar Nationals at the 1/2 mile oval. The $27,000-to-win, LOLMDS race drew a field of 55 entries to the facility, and on Friday evening double heat races were held with the top twenty-one competitors in points locking into Saturday's finale with the balance of the field going to b-mains. Unfortunately Jack battled engine woes throughout Friday's program, which left him starting deep in a b-main on Saturday night. In the b-main he failed to reach a transfer spot and moved onto the $2,700-to-win, non-qualifier's race, where he finished in the 10th spot.
