Top 5 Finish in Cotton Pickin' 100 Opener
Friday night saw Jack Sullivan return to the Super Late Model ranks for the Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100 at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi). Drawing a stout field of 57 cars for the unsanctioned weekend, Sullivan followed up the eighth fastest time in his qualifying group with a 10-lap heat race victory. Starting the $4,000-to-win A-Main in 4th, Jack held his spot for all 30-laps to place 4th behind Chris Ferguson, Dale McDowell, and Billy Moyer with Jason Hiett coming in 5th. Returning on Saturday night for the $12,000 top prize, Jack posted a 5th place finish in his heat race transferring him into the B-Main for another shot at the main event. Passing three cars, Sullivan streaked to a 12-lap consolation victory positioning him 19th on the starting grid for the finale. Dropping four spots in the 70-affair, Jack Sullivan logged a 23rd place outing.
